Who we are

Dale Harris Consulting is a team of highly experienced consultants led by Paul Dale-Harris, Gerard Hargreaves, Caroline Montagu and Jonathan Thomson.

Paul Dale-Harris

Paul draws on over ten years of top level experience working with senior management teams and individual directors across UK, continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the areas of organisational development, coaching and director development.

Prior to his career as a consultant, Paul worked in two sectors at Board level (MD) - fast moving consumer goods and property investment (running a capital development programme of £130m+). Not surprisingly, one of his key interests is the transfer of learning and innovation across different industries.

Paul has a Masters in Psychology from Oxford University, and studied Organisational Behaviour at Birkbeck College, London. He is a qualified practitioner of various psychometric tools, including Myers Briggs and Extended DISC.

He has published research on the balanced scorecard and on building teams.

Gerard Hargreaves

Gerard is a training and development consultant and executive coach who delivers one-to-one and group consultancy services.

For 11 years he held senior appointments at MaST International before joining the Institute of Directors in 1998 as Head of The Centre for Director Development, which is the leading authority on director training in the UK. There he successfully developed one-to-one executive coaching programmes for directors and senior executives.

He specialises in designing and implementing development programmes at all levels of organisations.

He is the co-author of Making Time (BBC Books) and the author of Stress Management (Amacom). His most recent book is Managing in the Email Office (Butterworth-Heinemann), co-authored with Monica Seeley. He has also broadcast on BBC television and radio.

Caroline Montagu

Caroline held senior management and board level positions in a variety of industries for over 15 years. She was the Sales Director for Petplan from 1995-2001 where she developed a nationwide team of sales people and trainers.

As the Operations Director of VPI from 2001-2002, she was involved in business acquisitions and developed marketing, training and development strategies for the company.

She now provides executive coaching with an emphasis on developing high performance, leadership, team management and business outcomes.

She works with senior executives and their teams within a range of industries including retail, service, insurance, banking, executive search, consultancy, training and marketing services.

Jonathan Thomson

Jonathan has worked as a management and organisational development consultant and executive coach since 1994. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of a hospitality services company. It was in this environment that his coaching skills were developed. He used coaching models to achieve a dramatic business turn-around, sustained growth performance, and lower levels of staff churn.

Since 1994 he has worked as a consultant and coach. He has worked with senior executives at President, Senior Vice-President and Director level throughout the UK, continental Europe and South East Asia. In each intervention his coaching methodology is non-directive, facilitative, challenging and wholly client-centred, with a particular focus on business performance enhancement.

At a strategic level he has aligned coaching to organisational development processes and corporate values interventions by supporting key stakeholders who are leading significant change programmes.

He has studied education and organisational psychology, and holds a BA, a post-graduate Diploma in Education and an MSc.
